Summer event season kicks off for Hogs Back

Keep an eye out for Hogs Back Brewery at food, drink and other outdoor events across the county over the coming months. Local beer lovers will also be able to try exclusive experimental beers available through the Brewery Shop.

We're kicking off our summer campaign at the Surrey County Show in Guildford on 29th May, where we are sponsoring the Sheepdog Challenge, a new event this year which is expected to be one of the most popular attractions of the day. It takes place in the public arena, where our branding will be prominent.

We will also be offering free tastings of our beers including TEA within the Visit Guildford marquee at the Show, and selling a wide range of ales and gift packs to take away. Make sure you pop by!

On 10th June, we will be part of the new Ripley Grape & Grain Festival, which will showcase local beers, ciders, wines and spirits. And on 8th July, we are one of the sponsors of the Farnham Lions’ Summer Spectacular, celebrating the Lions global centenary and 50 years of Farnham Lions.

Rupert Thompson, said, “Our brewery is named after the Hogs Back, one of Surrey’s most beautiful natural features, and we are very proud of our roots in the county.

“We’re delighted to be part of these three great events. We’re confident that many of the visitors will enjoy supping a pint of TEA while enjoying the music and other entertainment, and we’re also pleased to be supporting local worthy causes through our involvement.”

He added, “In addition to these annual events, we support a number of local groups, as well as hosting our own activities at the brewery including our Hop Harvest Party, which last year attracted 800 guests and will be running again on 23rd September – this time bigger and better than ever as we celebrate the brewery’s 25th birthday.

“Throughout the summer, we will be testing some new special edition beers – currently we have a bottled honeyed ale, Summer Time Buzz, in the Shop, which is proving popular and this will be followed by a tea-infused beer.”
