Pubs offering takeaway services this weekend
This has been a hugely difficult time for a lot of publicans and their staff recently as most pubs have been forced to shut their doors and are unsure when they will be re-opened. With the latest Government Guidance, some pubs have been able to keep a basic service running by providing takeaway food & drink. We wanted to offer these pubs who are going above and beyond a bit of support and also make sure you are aware in case you wanted a change from home cooking this weekend.
If you live in Godalming you are lucky to have such a great pub in The Star. Not only are they offering a full menu for takeaway and collection 7 days a week, you can also order cask or kegged beer to go in 2 or 4 pint jugs. In addition they have a series of cold meals you can collect in the evenings to heat when you have time - perfect for Key Workers such as NHS staff who also get 20% off.
The Waverley is known locally as an incredible Steak restaurant and last weekend offered people the chance to buy ribeye steaks to cook at home along with a guidance sheet from the head chef. Again they are offering a FOOD, DRINKS and D.I.Y. STEAK collection service from Wednesday - Sunday but are also offering delivery. If you live over in a Basingstoke direction, the Fur & Feathers are offering a daily takeaway menu with the likes of Venison Rendang Curry, Paella, Fish & Chips and Burgers. They are also running a grocery service for any locals who are unable to get to the shops at the moment.
Red Mist Leisure Home Delivery service
Our close friends at Red Mist have diversified now that their pubs are all closed and are instead offering a weekly Home Delivery service including fresh fruit and veg boxes, meat, dairy products, eggs, dried goods, toiletries and soft/alcoholic beverages (including Hogs Back beer & cider). You have to live within 15 miles of Farnham or within 3 miles of any of their pubs if you live further afield. Last week they delivered to 300 doorsteps! There is a £5 delivery charge for all orders under £100 with 10% discount to NHS / Frontline Emergency Workers.
